Gloria got me into this. She thought it would be good to have a screen door on the front door so we could open it an get a breeze through the house on pleasant evenings. We can't just open the door cause Gizmo might take a notion to go wandering and it just isn't a good idea to leave the front of your house open these days. So for various reasons screen door led to security door, something made of steel and really lockable unlike a puny aluminum thing that buba could rip open with his pinky.
One problem though. The builder of our house thought an impressive entry would be nice. Ok the door does look good. All eight feet of it! Now normal entry doors are seven feet high and three feet wide and you can stop by home depot and get a security door for under a c-note but if you have an eight foot door you are in "Special Order" country. It takes a month, and it cost an extra 100 dollars. Yes that is right. One foot of door cost one hundred dollars.
Well what can ya do. Order it. Pay for it and wait.
It arrived and now I have to install it. Oh, by the way, they can install it for you, and that would cost ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!
