Quick dried Rose

It is record time in Las Vegas. Yesterday a tie for the hottest day ever. 117 degrees. If we reach 115 tomorrow it will tie the record for most days over 115 degrees. We've recently set records for the highest low temps for a day and several record highs.
Yep, It's HOT and dry. Very dry. Plants are dyeing no matter how much water they get. The sun just sucks out the moisture faster than it can be replaced.
Were looking forward to 108s or so next week. Then we might feel like going outside for longer than absolutely necessary, which is how 115 makes you feel.

The birds are ok I have misters around the aviary which have literally saved their lives this last week. They can't take more than 112 for very long and I've worried as that 117 is an official temp and I've had up to 119 here.
This weekend it will rain thanks to the hurricane that flattened Playa de Carmen where where we had a wonderful vacation a few years back. I hope it won't flood like last year.
I'll let ya know.
