More realestate

The property tax issue is getting lots of pressure in Carson City (our capital). The ledge is feeling it and know they will have to do something or risk there seats.
The mega mergers of casinos are going forward and soon there will be only two owners of big strip properties. There are now only two owners of local (off strip) properties. What ever happened to anti trust laws. Look at all the mega mergers going on in other economic areas and ya have to wonder if some day, a very few outfits will own everything?
More local, apartments are becoming condos. 16,000 reported. The tenets will have to buy or move. The owners (many are investors) seek to cash in on the shortage of cheap housing here. It doesn't take much to change an apartment complex to condos and for some it is a way to buy a home ( of sorts) but for other fixed income foke it is disaster.
Change is good. But not for everyone.
