First look below this post for a picture of Gizmo climbing the aviary. And no, I am not holding him up there, he actually climbs up the side of the cage. He only does this when I am out side with him and mostly when I go inside to put feed or clean. Buy the way for anyone living here I have too many cocktail's and would sell a few cheap or even donate a bird to a deserving person. ie. A needy child or elderly person wanting a caged companion. Email me.
Now if your wealthy, Las Vegas has entertainment up the yean yang, at high prices. Great artist do shows here and there are amazing extravaganzas all over the strip. Elton John, Celine Dion, Barry Manalow, and other Stars have shows. Blue men, Rock, Cirque de sol, so many unique productions are there to see, and the quality is high. And the ticket price is also high. Concert also are dear. Josh Groban is a fantastic singer but to see him will cost you 250+ dollars.
Most of the big strip shows are three digits.
That pretty much leaves me and other wage workers out. It is sad.
But Vegas is big and there are alternatives. The local casinos have developed venues for acts not so big named but still entertaining. Coast casinos have concerts by name performers, not the big ones but a lot of the older acts are still there and play Vegas regular. Everyly Brothers, Smothers brothers, all the guys that were BIG and now are just Known, play dates here. Station Casinos have several good venues with country and jazz and hip hop acts. Look at http://stationcasinos.com And there are also some small places with music.
a good source for what is going on is the local newspaper web site. http://www.lvrj.com/neon/
Many smaller named acts can be seen for 50 buck or less so there is no reason to stay home all the time. Vegas has options.
We recently lucked into seeing Brian Wilson's Smile tour at Bolder Station for 62$ a ticket. What a bargain. See http://www.adaven.net/Public/blog/review/review.html to read about it.
